Shillong Lajong continue their record seventh I-League campaign with a visit to regional rivals Aizawl FC on Tuesday.
The Reds have endured a turbulent start to the season with two successive defeats agains reigning champions Bengaluru FC and title contenders Mohun Bagan.
Speaking to the media before the game head coach Thangboi Singto acknowledged the need to start putting points on the board. “We need to play better, as this is to be our third away match and we have not earned ourselves any points as yet.”
However, he lauded his boys' performance against the Blues and the Mariners, “We are improving match by match and we will try to win maximum points tomorrow.”
Singto also asserted that the game against a resurgent Aizawl outfit with Khalid Jamil will not be easy. "Aizawl have a very experienced coach who knows the I-League inside out. They are a strong team at home and it will be a tough game on Tuesday," he said.
