There will be plenty of players moving to new clubs.

The new football season begins with the onset of the summer transfer window. It allows football clubs to sign or sell players in order to prepare for the season. The race to sign top talents is always intense and leads to entertaining transfer sagas. Over the course of the next few months, from 10 June till 1 September 2022, a lot of transfer deals are set to take place.

Last year, the world of football witnessed iconic transfers like Cristiano Ronaldo signing for Manchester United, Romelu Lukaku joining Chelsea and Jack Grealish signing for Manchester City among many others. Many teams like Newcastle United, Manchester United, Real Madrid and more will be looking to strengthen their squads with new incomings.

A lot of deals have already taken place, such as Manchester City signing Erling Haaland and Aston Villa securing the services of Diego Carlos from Sevilla. However, several transfers will take place in the forthcoming days. On that note, here is a look at the top 10 transfers to look forward to in the summer transfer window:

10. Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan

Romelu Lukaku’s second stint with Chelsea has not gone according to plan. The Belgian international left Inter Milan last season for €113m to join the Blues.

However, he is now desperate to leave the Premier League and go back to the Serie A. As it happens, Inter are interested to re-sign the striker, but Bayern Munich are also showing a faint interest.

9. Pau Torres to Manchester United

Manchester United are set to sign multiple players in order to rebuild the side. Since the appointment of Erik ten Hag as the new permanent manager, several players have been linked with a move to the club. Reports are suggesting that the Red Devils are targeting Pau Torres of La Liga's Villarreal in their search for a new centre-back.

8. Youri Tielemans to Arsenal

Arsenal narrowly missed out on qualifying for the UEFA Champions League. The club will look to build on this performance by signing more quality players before next season begins.

Apparently, Youri Tielemans is one of the players the club are chasing intently. The Leicester City midfielder has been impressive in the Premier League and is hungry for a move to a bigger club.

7. Jurrien Timber to Manchester United

Erik ten Hag is a huge admirer of Jurrient Timber and will like to sign the AFC Ajax player at Manchester United. Both the player and manager worked together at the Dutch outfit and won the Eredivisie in the process.

The versatile defender will cost MUFC around €30m, but he will be worth it. He is young and hungry to play in an elite competition like the Premier League, which makes the deal likely to happen.

6. Christopher Nkunku to Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain are always strong players in the market due to their financial might. The French Ligue 1 outfit will look for a replacement for Angel Di Maria in the upcoming transfer window.

One of the players who are likely to join is Christopher Nkunku. The Frenchman had a sensational season for RB Leipzig, where he managed 35 goals and 20 assists in 52 appearances.

5. Luis Suarez to Aston Villa

Steven Gerrard is bringing the band back together at Aston Villa as the manager. The club confirmed the permanent signing of Phillipe Coutinho from FC Barcelona and are now chasing Luis Suarez who is currently at Atletico Madrid.

Despite his age, the former Barcelona and Liverpool striker is clinical in front of goal. A return to the Premier League and reunion with former teammates Coutinho and Gerrard would be a move that will certainly have a taste of nostalgia.

4. Robert Lewandowski to FC Barcelona

Robert Lewandowski is set to join a new team as his time at Bayern Munich comes to an end. The Polish international is close to joining FC Barcelona, who are in the market for a striker.

There are hardly any better options than Lewandowski and signing him on a free transfer would make sense for the La Liga outfit, which are struggling with their finances.

3, Gabriel Jesus to Arsenal

Erling Haaland’s arrival at Manchester City makes Gabriel Jesus’s chances of first-team football lesser. For a large part of the season, MCFC played without a striker upfront, despite Jesus’s availability.

As the new season approaches, Arsenal are looking to sign the striker who scored eight times and made nine assists in the Premier League. The move is likely to happen, as it benefits all parties involved.

2. Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich

Sadio Mane is set to leave Liverpool, looking for a fresh challenge in his career. The forward is close to joining Bayern Munich, who are actively looking for a replacement for the outgoing Robert Lewandowski.

When or if this deal takes place, it will certainly give a huge boost to the Bundesliga side, who are on a run of winning the league 10 times consecutively.

1. Frenkie de Jong to Manchester United

Manchester United are chasing Frenkie de Jong, who is now the top target on the shopping list. Erik ten Hag wishes to reunite with the Barcelona player who worked with the tactician at Ajax.

Midfield is an area at MUFC that needs serious improvement, with players like Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard also leaving. While FCB are open to selling the player, he himself will need a lot of convincing to join a team who are not in the UEFA Champions League.
