It was a successful season for him, I think he did great- Nani on Cristiano Ronaldo

The Portuguese winger insists that the Juventus forward is the world's best after the first season in Italy.
Cristiano Ronaldo's compatriot Nani believes that the 34-year old is still the world's best player after his first season with Juventus.
Despite losing out in the UEFA Champions League and Coppa Italia, Ronaldo scored 28 goals in 43 matches in all competitions securing the Serie A title for Massimiliano Allegri's men along with the Supercoppa Italiana.
However, this has been the Portuguese talisman's lowest scoring record since his days at Manchester United back in 2008-09 season when he bagged 26 goals.
Nani who currently plies his trade for Orlando City in the Major League Soccer in the United States still believes that his countryman is still the best player in the world.
"It was a successful season for him. I think he did great," he told Omnisport.
"It is not easy to play in Italy because the football there is very tactical, the defenders there defend a lot."
"He scored a lot of goals, continued to be the best in the world. I think he did great."
Despite winning the eighth successive Scudetto, it was not a rosy season for the Old Lady as they got knocked out of the quarterfinals in the Champions League against Ajax. But the 34-year old turned up in both the occasions and found the back of the net.
With the club football season over, Ronaldo will have his eyes on the UEFA Nations League semifinals leading his side against Switzerland on Wednesday. The winner of that match will take on either of England and Netherlands in the finals.

Ronaldo won't be alone for the Seleção das Quinas as Manchester City star midfielder Bernardo Silva is set to play alongside him. Nani also spoke highly of the 24-year old former Monaco midfielder and expects him to play a big role for Portugal.
“Bernardo is a fantastic player,” Nani said of the midfielder. “He’s a natural player."
