Who is Tim Iroegbunam? Everton youngster linked with a summer move to Hull City

Tim Iroegbunam is a highly rated youngster with the Toffees.

Hull City have been extremely active in the summer transfer window since gaining promotion to the Premier League. The Tigers have welcomed several players into their first team, and the latest player linked to a switch to the MKM Stadium is Everton’s Tim Iroegbunam.

According to TEAMtalk, the Tigers have earmarked Iroegbunam as their next transfer target, reportedly sending a £15 million offer for him. The report revealed that Everton are open to a transfer, considering that the player has only 12 months left in his contract, although the club have an option to extend it for another year.

The 23-year-old midfielder moved to the Hill Dickinson Stadium in 2024 from Aston Villa for a £9 million fee. Since then, the England youth international has grown into an important player for the Merseyside club. He made 18 league appearances in his debut season, registering an assist. Last season, he made 31 appearances across all competitions, including 29 in the Premier League.

Adding a player of Iroegbunam’s capability will add a lot of steel and composure to the Hull City midfield. The club have already added three central midfielders in the summer transfer window.

Ecuadorian youngster Óscar Zambrano joined from Maribor, although he is injured at the moment. Hidemasa Morita arrived from Sporting CP on a free transfer, and Jens Hjertø-Dahl joined from Tromsø for £8.6m.
