The Portuguese has scored 35 goals in the league this season
According to talkSPORT, Al Nassr intends to hold negotiations to extend Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract this summer.
The Portugal star’s current contract expires in 2025, but talks are reportedly underway to extend it by a full year. Ronaldo would play until he is at least 41 years old if he were to accept the extra year.
This may provide him the opportunity to compete in the United States, Canada, and Mexico at the 2026 World Cup.
Additionally, he would have the opportunity to surpass other records, such as the most appearances overall, which is presently held by rival player Lionel Messi (26).
It is seen to be crucial to keep Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League for the first year of the upcoming TV rights cycle, which becomes available for renewal in 2025. Ronaldo’s new contract will be managed centrally.
A pay increase would also accompany any new agreement. With bonuses on top, the 39-year-old currently earns €200 million (£156.6 million) in income. Ronaldo is still breaking records in the Saudi Professional League.

With two goals in his season-ending match, Al Nassr became the highest-scoring individual in SPL history. His 35 goals this season have surpassed Abderrazak Hamdallah’s 34 goals from the 2019–20 campaign.
In the meantime, he has made history by being the first player to play in all four major leagues: Serie A, La Liga, the Premier League, and the Saudi Pro League.
That follows his stints at Juventus, Real Madrid, and Manchester United before moving on to Al Nassr.
Ronaldo is a member of Portugal’s Euro 2024 team, where he hopes to win the trophy again after winning it in 2016. Additionally, he plans to break a lot of records in Germany.
