Arne Slot issues Alexander Isak & other Liverpool players injury update ahead of Man United clash

Isak is now fully fit and ready to play at his best.
Alexander Isak, a British record signing, is finally at a fitness level where he can be fully productive, according to Liverpool head coach Arne Slot, who insists the striker’s season begins now.
Since leaving Newcastle United on deadline day, the Sweden international has only played 313 minutes in six games and scored once. The goal came in a Carabao Cup victory over Southampton. The club basically wanted to ease him into life at Anfield after he missed the entire preseason.
Despite failing to score in two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Switzerland and Kosovo during the October international break, Isak has played an additional 198 minutes for Sweden.
Slot reveals Isak is now at his peak fitness

The Reds coach, Arne Slot, stated that the 26-year-old was now prepared to play ahead of the visit from bitter rivals Manchester United.
“I think now he has had his five, six weeks of pre-season which is normal for every player, especially if you have been out for three or four months,” said the Dutch manager.
“Fitness-wise he is close to the level he should be and we can judge him in a fair way from now on.”
When Liverpool host their bitter rivals at Anfield, they will be looking to recover from three straight defeats across all competitions before the international break.
Slot issues the other players’ injury status
Their efforts won’t be helped by the absence of important players, as Ryan Gravenberch, Alisson, and Ibrahima Konate are all questionable regarding their fitness.
“Ryan is completely fit, still needs to train but fit, and we are in a good place with the Dutch side,” Arne Slot said at his press conference on Friday morning at the AXA Training Centre.
“Ibou has come to back to us and is expected to train today. Alisson is not training so he is out. How long out? Difficult to say as the end phase of rehab always gives you positives and negatives but not the weekend or next week.”
Was Isak not fully fit?
He missed pre-season and was not at his best during the past few matches.
Which player is out of the game?
Alisson will miss the game due to injury.
When will Liverpool face United?
They will face each other on Sunday in the evening.
