This is the second meeting between both sides of Copa America 2024.

Argentina survived a scare in the last match after Ecuador gave them a huge fight. Lionel Scaloni’s side were moments away from reaching the semi-final until Kevin Rodríguez stepped up for Ecuador to score in the dying minutes. Emiliano Martinez was the hero after saving them in the penalty shootout. There will be plenty of things to ponder for La Albiceleste after failing to assert their dominance against Ecuador.

Canada have created history by making it to the semi-finals of the competition in their debut. They have done it impressively after finishing their group in second. They were drawn to Venezuela in the quarter-final which they eventually won in the penalty shootout. The game was a thriller and could have been won earlier if they had taken their chances.

Canada will now face the team that gave them their first loss of the tournament. They will be the underdogs in this match due to their stature.
