The Premier League title race goes to the wire on final matchday
Arsenal will be playing as hosts in their final Premier League fixture for the 2023-24 season. They are just two points behind leaders Man City at the moment. A win here against Everton and even a draw to the Sky Blues against West Ham United will mean the Gunners lifting the title after 20 long years.
Everton don’t have much to play for. A defeat, draw or a win won’t mean much to them and their season while they sit 15th in the division before the final fixture. But the Toffees could potentially spoil the house party at the Emirates Stadium. Sean Dyche’s men are on a very impressive four win and a draw record in the last five league games.
Kick-Off:
Sunday, 19 May 2024 at 4:00 PM UK (8:30 PM IST)
Location: Emirates Stadium
Form
Arsenal (in all competitions): W-W-W-W-W
Everton (in all competitions): W-D-W-W-W
Players to Watch
Leandro Trossard (Arsenal)
The former Brighton winger is now starting ahead of Gabriel Martinelli in the left-wing position. Why wouldn’t he? Even in the last match against Manchester United, it was a goal by Leandro Trossard that kept the title hopes alive. Trossard has 12 goals and an assist in the English first tier this season.
Idrissa Gueye (Everton)
Amadou Onana is surely attracting interest from clubs worldwide but his partner in crime is also performing very well. Idrissa Gueye lines up alongside Onana at the heart of the Everton midfield and plays a crucial role in the way his team plays. Gueye has also scored three goals in the PL.

Injury & Team News
Mikel Arteta is more than likely to use the same lineup that has been giving wins recently. No player is sidelined or suspended in this final title charge.
He could have been a key player this season but Dele Alli’s injury will now finally keep him away from participating even in this final fixture. Fullbacks Nathan Patterson and Vitaly Mykolenko are injured as well. Andre Gomes suffered a head injury last game against Sheffield United and is likely to be given some rest.
