Both sides will battle each other after witnessing contrasting results in the UEL semi-finals

Atalanta will play as hosts in this Serie A face-off against AS Roma after European action today against Marseille. La Dea thumped the French side in the UEFA Europa League second leg of the semi-finals by 3-0 to win 4-1 on aggregate. They will face Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen in the finals on 23 May.

AS Roma got knocked out from UEL after a 4-2 aggregate defeat in the semi-finals to Leverkusen. Now their season has just the Italian league games to deal with. Currently, they are holding on to the UEL group stage qualification spot for next season while trying to upgrade it for a UEFA Champions League spot. Giallorossi will take on Atalanta who are above them solely due to better goal difference.
