There are rumours that Manchester United have been approached about an incredible trade involving Mason Greenwood and Joao Felix.
The 22-year-old Greenwood has been on loan at Getafe in Spain during the season. Although Man Utd has not yet decided on his future, it is thought that the team intends to move him this summer. Getafe may find it difficult to pay the £40 million asking price even though they want to keep the forward.
Greenwood is being pursued by teams including Barcelona, Juventus, Napoli, Borussia Dortmund, and Atletico Madrid. Felix is apparently something that Atleti is willing to offer as part of the deal.
According to Outlet TDF, Andrea Berta, the LaLiga team’s director of football, suggested the change. Felix, 24, left Benfica five years ago to sign a £96 million contract with Atletico Madrid.
After initially contributing significantly to the team, the adaptable Portuguese forward and manager Diego Simeone had a falling out.
Felix played the current campaign with Barcelona before going on loan to Chelsea in 2023. According to reports, his agent Jorge Mendes is pressuring him to relocate again this summer. Felix and Atletico Madrid have a contract that doesn’t end until 2029.

However, they might be prepared to cash in for about £50 million. Greenwood’s Old Trafford contract is set to expire in just one year. Regarding Greenwood, during their season-ending match this past weekend, Getafe supporters yelled for him to stay.
After that, he issued the following statement:
“Incredibly grateful to the Getafe family and fans for an amazing season. Thank you for making me feel welcomed and one of your own. I enjoyed every second, alongside my team-mates and club. A bitter sweet ending, but it was a pleasure to play for you, I wish you all the best.”
