The November international break is over, and now club matches will resume this weekend.
With the international break over, club football will now return this weekend. We have many big matches to watch out for. Big leagues around Europe will resume, with many teams battling to win the league, while some are fighting to avoid relegation. We won’t have an international break until next year.
With this, we take a look at the top five matches to watch out for this weekend following the end of the November international break.
Five matches to look forward to this weekend
5. Borussia Dortmund vs Stuttgart

This Saturday afternoon, Borussia Dortmund will host Stuttgart at Signal Iduna Park in the Bundesliga, setting up a thrilling match from the top four.
With 21 points this season, both teams will be looking to close the gap on Bayern Munich, the league’s current leaders, before the winter break begins next month.
The Prussians are currently seven points behind Bayern Munich, but this is more due to the Bavarians’ outstanding play than Borussia’s shortcomings.
Stuttgart will look to maintain their current winning trend as they attempt to extend their winning streak against Borussia Dortmund to six straight games. But juggling UEFA Europa League obligations with domestic goals is not an easy task.
4. Barcelona vs Athletic Bilbao

Barcelona will host Athletic Bilbao at the recently renovated Camp Nou on Saturday night for matchday 13 of LaLiga, making it their homecoming night.
The Basque team has only defeated Barcelona twice in the previous ten matches, both in the Copa del Rey. Barcelona have a significant historical advantage in this match, having prevailed in the last three meetings with Athletic.
Athletic know they can’t afford many more losses if they want to pursue European qualification, as they are currently eight points away of the top four.

3. Napoli vs Atalanta
On Saturday night, Napoli will host Atalanta BC at Stadio Maradona in an attempt to secure a long-overdue victory after losing their last three games before the break.
However, the Partenopei’s recent record against Atalanta, who might be encouraged by a new head coach, is significantly less spectacular.
With almost a third of the Serie A campaign behind them, Atalanta are stuck in 13th place. If they don’t improve, their recent run to qualify for Europe may come to an end sooner rather than later.

2. Newcastle United vs Manchester City
When Manchester City travel to St. James’ Park to play Newcastle United on Saturday night, they will try to get within one point of Premier League leaders Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Newcastle, in their previous 35 Premier League encounters, have only defeated Man City once (D6, L28).
Despite Man City’s two losses in their first three Premier League games this season (W1, 2L), Pep Guardiola and company have clearly shown indications of getting back to their best.
1. Arsenal vs Tottenham Hotspur

After the November international break, Premier League football is scheduled to resume this weekend. Arsenal’s home match against bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday will surely be the main event.
A victory in the North London derby is frequently sufficient, but three points for either team might be the game-changer in the title race. The game is always tense.
Dropped points against Tottenham Hotspur should normally not be viewed as a negative outcome because the lead at the top of the table is healthy. Moreover, it would be unreasonable to expect Arsenal to win every game until the conclusion of the season.
