Canada vs Bosnia & Herzegovina: All-time head-to-head record ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026

Canada vs Bosnia & Herzegovina in the 2026 World Cup will mark the first clash of these nations in a major competition.

The FIFA World Cup, football’s most prestigious tournament, has arrived after a four-year absence. Co-hosted by the USA, Mexico and Canada, it is returning to North American soil after 32 years. The newest edition is set to create history, with a record 48 teams participating, an increase from the previous 32.

Co-hosts Canada and Bosnia and Herzegovina are to feature in the opening fixture of Group B of the 2026 FIFA World Cup at Toronto Stadium in Toronto, Canada. Both sides will need a win to gain the crucial points. We all know the top two placed teams qualify directly to the knockout rounds.

Canada are set to make their third World Cup appearance, this time via automatic qualification as hosts. The nation featured in the 2022 edition after a 36-year absence. However, they had a poor outing in last edition, losing all three matches.

The North American giants have huge expectations upon them. The Jesse Marsch-led side are targeting their first World Cup win in its history. All hopes are placed upon players like Alphonso Davies, who scored the first goal for Canada in the World Cup.

Bosnia and Herzegovina are only competing in the grandest stage for the second time, after a noteworthy stint in the 2014 campaign. They exited in the group stage, despite registering their first-ever World Cup victory against Iran (3-1). They had a dramatic 2026 qualification campaign, defeating heavyweights Italy on penalties to seal their spot.
