Carlo Ancelotti denies rumours of Kylian Mbappe asking for 'position change at Real Madrid'

The French star has scored eight goals for the Spanish club so far.
After signing Real Madrid in the summer, Kylian Mbappe requested to play in a particular spot on the field, but coach Carlo Ancelotti refuted that he wanted to play in a specific position.
For a Real Madrid team that had recently won LaLiga and the Champions League, Mbappe’s acquisition on a free transfer after departing Paris Saint-Germain was viewed as yet another significant upgrade.
However, the anticipating of Mbappe’s arrival has now gone down the drain as so far he has failed to illustrate why he wanted to make his dream move to Los Blancos and so far made negligible impact.
Even though he has scored eight goals in all competitions, the Frenchman has had trouble settling in. Since winning both the domestic and European titles the previous season, Madrid have changed their lineup to put Mbappe alongside Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior.
Kylian Mbappe has incredible quality and sooner or later he will show it: Carlo Ancelotti
“Kylian has never asked me for a position on the pitch,” Ancelotti told reporters on Saturday.
“They all want to be in the starting XI, they don’t have a fixed position and can be changed depending on the match situations.
“All strikers have had a bad run, if they don’t score they get frustrated. I see him motivated and happy to train with his teammates. Sooner or later the run will stop. Tomorrow he will have a great game [against Leganes] because it is just a matter of time.
“He has incredible quality and sooner or later he will show it.”
Mbappe excelled for PSG on the left, but he isn’t as comfortable playing in the middle. However, Bellingham has been repressed by playing deeper now, whilst Vini is unchangeable on the left as he puts in a top-class performance from his usual area.
Interestingly, earlier this month, Mbappe was pulled out of the France squad for international matches. Despite not missing a club game in nearly two months, the 25-year-old missed his second consecutive omission in October due to a persistent fitness issue.
