10. Brace on his debut with Sporting in 2002

As a 17-year-old, Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals against Moreirense on his debut for Sporting Lisbon. Sporting secured all three points with a 3-0 final score line thanks to his two goals in that match. It was a dream debut for a teenager who went on to become the greatest goal scorer of all time. In that match, he showcased his talent in a wonderful way and it was the beginning of a wonderful career. 

9. Late winner against Barcelona in 2012

In 2012, as the LaLiga title race heated up, Ronaldo ensured their rivals’ title hopes ended with victory for them by scoring a late winner to silence the Camp Nou using his famous Calma celebration. 

8. Brace against Arsenal in the UCL Semi Final in 2008

Ronaldo helped Manchester United reach the final by playing a key role in the semifinal game between two of the best sides in the Premier League. Aside from providing an assist for Park, he scored three goals, including a 40-yard free kick, a free kick that will go down as one of the best in the last decade. 

7. Brace against Juventus in the UCL Final in 2017

He scored a brace in this final match to secure back-to-back Champions League titles for Real Madrid. A true star, he inspired Real Madrid to victory over the Old Lady. In his first goal, he struck the ball inside the box, while his second goal was an tap in after Luka Modric threw him a delightful pass. 

6. Brace against Juventus in the Quarter-Final in 2018

The quarter final in 2018, when Ronaldo scored his most iconic Champions League goal, even Juventus fans applauding. Real Madrid won the match with a score of 0-0 thanks to his bicycle kick, which put them in a comfortable position going into the second leg at home. He scored a brace in an impressive away win. 

 5. Hattrick against Bayern Munich in 2017

With a hat trick, Cristiano Ronaldo eliminated Bayern Munich from the Champions League quarter final for Real Madrid. Following his goal being cancelled out by Lewandowski, the game moved to extra time and he netted two more goals to advance Los Blancos to the semi final. 

 4. Hattrick against Wolfsburg in 2016

As Real Madrid suffered a 2-0 loss in the first leg of the Champions League quarter final against Wolfsburg, Ronaldo had a chance of saving them from going out of the competition. In the end, Los Blancos won the title that season after Ronaldo scoring a perfect hat trick to send them to the semi-final. His third goal came from a free kick meant to cement his place in history. 

3. Hattrick against Sweden in 2013

Cristiano Ronaldo had a memorable night in the playoffs against Sweden where the winner would reach the 2014 World Cup. Despite much anticipation ahead of the match between Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Cristiano Ronaldo had the final laugh by scoring a hat trick to qualify for the World Cup. In doing so, he also became Portugal’s all-time leading goal scorer. 

2. Hattrick against Spain in World Cup 2018 

With Spain vs Cristiano Ronaldo on the agenda for the opening match, the 2018 World Cup was highly anticipated. Then came Cristiano Ronaldo’s first hattrick in the World Cup, rescuing a draw for Portugal with his brilliant free kick. He managed to salvage a point against Spain on his own. 

1. Hattrick against Atletico Madrid in 2019

In one of the most iconic performances of Ronaldo’s career, the Old Lady were down by 2-0 from the first leg and had a huge task to overcome. As a result of Cristiano Ronaldo’s hat trick, Juventus reached the Champions League quarter final that year. He single-handedly won the match for the side and even destroyed Simeone with his celebration on the reverse fixture.
