Everton considering appointing former manager David Moyes: Report

The Toffees have started the new league season losing all three games.
Everton are now planning to bring in David Moyes as Sean Dyche faces an uncertain future at Goodison Park. Under Dyche, the club have endured a dismal time. Following his appointment in 2023, the club finished 17th place during his first stint and 15th last season.
Such narrowly avoiding relegation finishes haven’t convinced Everton to continue with the former Burnley boss. Now he could learn his sacking soon. To make things worse the club have started the new season losing all three games and sitting last in the Premier League table.
Before the international break, his side were defeated 3-2 despite being 2-0 up in the game against AFC Bournemouth. Now the manager is losing all the hopes of fans and the club’s board. He has been described as a ‘dead man walking.’
If things don’t improve before the next international break which is set to start from 7 October, then he could surely be sacked by the club.
Everton have also found a replacement for Dyche. They might appoint former manager David Moyes. Moyes left West Ham United after the end of last season.
The Toffees believe that the former Manchester United manager has the ability to bring back the glory days and take the team to top given his successful first spell at Merseyside.
David Moyes was the manager of Everton between March 2002 and June 2013. Under him, the club were the top contenders in the league and would regularly finish inside the top 10.
Under his tutelage, the club became a well-known side. They also played in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League – formerly known as the UEFA Cup – in addition to reaching the 2009 FA Cup final.
Moyes’ return might bring much-needed life to the club. He could once again change the fortunes of the Premier League team. At West Ham, he turned them into one of the big sides and also led them to UEFA Conference League trophy.
