Chelsea beat PSG 3-0 to lift the Club World Cup trophy.
Following the final, the tournament recognised players’ performances with the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 awards, with Cole Palmer taking the best player of the tournament prize.
The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup came to a dramatic conclusion with Chelsea lifting the trophy by beating tournament favourites Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 in the final, with goals from Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro to seal the win.
In a surprising turn of events, the West Londoners commandingly overcame the European champions PSG with a convincing scoreline to get their hands on the restructured competition’s title, which featured 32 teams participating in it.
The Premier League giants completely outran them in every stat of the game, with Cole Palmer opening the scoring in the 22nd minute of the game before doubling in the 30th minute.
However, PSG did create plenty of chances, but were unlucky in front of the goal. Moreover, Robert Sanchez also made some terrific saves to keep the Blues in the match.
Chelsea put the game to bed with new signing Joao Pedro scoring his third goal of the competition in just two matches and ensuring that the English club would be crowned champions.
Many high-profile individuals were in attendance to witness the game, and among them was US President Donald Trump, who himself handed the trophy to Chelsea’s captain Reece James to wrap up the event.
