Cristiano Ronaldo finally opened his World Cup 2026 goal account.

Cristiano Ronaldo stole the show on Matchday 13 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as Portugal triumphed comfortably. Meanwhile, Ghana and England drew 0-0. Croatia edged out Panama to eliminate the latter.

Colombia ensured their place in the round of 32 in a match against Congo DR. Here, we retell what transpired over the last four matches.

Cristiano Ronaldo became the first man to score in six different FIFA World Cups. Portugal dominated a feeble Uzbekistan team, scoring five unanswered goals.

A dreary encounter saw Harry Kane squander the finest chance of the day (from six yards out, after Nico O’Reilly’s header rebounded off the crossbar). A possession-heavy but impotent England were held to a goalless draw by a tenacious Ghana team.

The game, Luka Modric’s 200th for his country, was highlighted by a distinct lack of skill in midfield. Panama’s hard work and offensive instincts shone through, but their lack of skill in the final third proved decisive.

Panama are eliminated from the competition after two consecutive 0-1 losses.
