Les Blues are two-time World Champions.
France are one of the favourites to win the FIFA World Cup 2026. Getting past the infamous ‘Champions Curse,’ the 2018 FIFA World Cup winners went on to reach the finals of the previous edition and even dragged Argentina to the penalties.
They are led by the veteran Didier Deschamps, who has won the FIFA World Cup both as a player in 1998 as well as a coach in 2018. This could be his last dance at the world’s biggest stage.
The Les Blues are drawn in difficult group alongside Norway, Iraq and Senegal, but they still remain the favourites to top Group I.
Their last group stage fixture would feature two of the greatest strikers in modern day football when Mbappe of France would lock horns with Erling Haaland of Norway.
Les Blues have some of the finest raw talents in the squad including the likes of Rayan Cherki and Michael Olise. Their attacking duo of Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele upfront looks scary for any opposition team.
Ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, the France national team have announced the jersey number for different players. Lets take a closer look at that.
