The Turkish club are ready to offer a four-month loan deal for Messi.
Galatasaray club President Dursun Özbek has acknowledged Lionel Messi’s links to the Turkish club, speaking at a summit. The president revealed that the club have grown into one of the prominent sides in Europe and can attract big stars, as they have done previously.
In the last transfer window, the club were able to bring in star-studded players such as Mauro Icardi. This summer, they signed the likes of Victor Osimhen, Leroy Sane, and Ilkay Gündoğan.
Galatasaray’s ability to sign big names has been largely attributed to their quality in playing, as they remain top of the Super Lig and are also performing emphatically in the UEFA Champions League.
Meanwhile, in the past few days, rumours have emerged that Galatasaray are considering signing Lionel Messi on a four-month loan deal when the MLS season concludes.
Galatasaray president sheds light on Messi rumours

The rumours have finally been acknowledged by the president of the club, Dursun Özbek, who hasn’t ruled out signing the Argentine star during the sports summit.
He told the reporters: “Messi, you say? Galatasaray have reached a point where even such questions are possible. We’ve raised the bar very high. We’ve kept the spine of a side that won three consecutive championships. Everything we do stays within our financial capacity. That’s why you can now ask about Messi.”
Ozbek’s comments don’t rule out signing Lionel Messi, but it will be challenging for the club even if Inter Miami end up being open to loaning the 38-year-old on a four-month deal.
The Argentine player is enjoying a productive campaign with the Miami club and has recently achieved 400 career assists. He hopes to lead the Herons to the MLS Cup before the end of the campaign.
Considering the new MLS season will start in March, Lionel Messi would want to continue his fitness ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. However, it remains to be seen if the Argentine star will be keen on returning to Europe.
