Top three Germany players to watch out for at Euro 2024

Florian Wirtz is more than likely to add to his one-goal international tally at the Euro.

On June 7, Germany’s manager Julian Nagelsmann announced a 26-man roster for the Euro 2024 competition.

With home advantage, the three-time champions will have a fantastic chance to win the championship again. Scotland will be Germany’s first opponent in the Euro group stage campaign on Saturday, June 15.

Nationalelf have a team that is the ideal balance of youthful talent and seasoned veterans for the 2024 Euro. Germany’s performances under Nagelsmann have been rather respectable. We take a look at the top three German players who will be ready to shine at one of the biggest competitions.

3. Aleksandar Pavlović

The 20-year-old Aleksandar Pavlovic was one of the few shining lights for Bayern Munich during a rare season without a championship. His intentions with the national squad have been disrupted by illness on previous occasions.

Tonsillitis prevented Pavlovic from playing when Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann originally called him up in March. In the end, he made his debut for his country last week in a 0-0 draw with Ukraine. He has had a wonderful season and hopes to replicate the performance for the national team in Euro.

2. Florian Wirtz

This season, the 21-year-old attacking midfielder for Bayer Leverkusen has been outstanding. Florian Wirtz contributed 11 goals and 11 assists to the German team’s Bundesliga total. He will play a key role for Germany on the left wing because of his playmaking and high-pressing style of football.

Even though he has a knack for scoring goals, he frequently plays deep to contribute to defence. His superior tactical ability will provide Germany with more depth in this Euro.

1. Jamal Muisala

The youthful offensive midfielder for Bayern Munich, age 21, is capable of playing on either wing or in any midfield position. This season, Jamal Musiala scored ten and provided six assists in the German league. His high-pressing style of game and excellent passing awareness have enhanced the already talented German midfield. He excells in one-on-one scenarios because of his agility and ball-control skills.

Despite his youth, he demonstrated maturity in making decisions and poise under duress. Die Mannschaft will undoubtedly get past the group stage and finish first in their group given their present form.
