Daley Blind won the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich

Daley Blind, then, has performed for major European clubs. Throughout his career, he has won numerous domestic championships with both Manchester United and AFC Ajax in addition to the Europa League. He therefore means it when he says he wants Bayern Munich to win the Champions League this season after spending a season at the club.

Bayern reached the quarterfinals after defeating Lazio in the Round of 16. Will the team succeed this season? Blind admits that it’s a possibility, for sure. There was excellent reason for the Dutchman to select a Champions League contender. It is now entirely up to the team to do that on the pitch.

‘I hope Bayern win the Champions League. I still follow them and follow Matthijs very closely”

On a six-month deal, Daley Blind joined Bayern Munich, giving the Bundesliga winners’ squad elite expertise and talent. Blind is a defender for the Netherlands.

Blind, who turned 33 in March, left Ajax after their contract was mutually terminated in late December. Blind then transferred to Bayern. Following Lucas Hernandez’s season-ending injury at the World Cup, he will offer head coach Julian Nagelsmann another option at centre-back.

At the centre of the Bayern defence, the former Manchester United player teamed up with fellow countryman Matthijs de Ligt and France international Dayot Upamecano. Similar to Hernandez, Blind covered Alphonso Davies by playing left back.

Blind played for Ajax, following in his father Danny’s footsteps, and made his first-team debut in 2008. Before moving back to Amsterdam in 2018, he spent four years winning the UEFA Europa League with United. Last season, he won the final of his seven Eredivisie titles with Ajax.

After one season at Bayern, Blind left the team and won the Bundesliga under Tuchel. Girona, who finished third in La Liga this season after competing against teams like Barcelona and Real Madrid, is a team the Spanish powerhouses will be hoping to qualify for the Champions League the following year.
