The Frenchman has recently completed his FIFA coaching license

Bayern Munich have a tradition of integrating former players into the club’s organisational structure; none is this more evident than in the staff of coaches.

In a variety of capacities, past players like Martín Demicheles, Sando Wagner, and Miroslav Klose have all served as coaches at Bayern, and it appears like Franck Ribéry may soon be joining the current Bundesliga Champions’ coaching staff.

Ribéry has played for Fiorentina and Salernitana in Serie A after departing Bayern in 2019. Is going back to Munich the best course of action?

Ribery ‘open’ to coaching role at Bayern Munich campus

Georg Holzner, a journalist for Kicker, claims (via @iMiaSanMia) that Ribéry would be open to taking on a coaching role at FC Bayern Munich Campus. The Frenchman is now finishing up his coaching licence. There is no reason why Ribéry can’t return because the team is still in good standing with him and has kept in touch with him.It will be intriguing to see where Ribéry’s coaching career takes him, even though he will probably begin with a modest coaching post inside Bayern’s development setup. The senior team at Bayern needs a new head coach, but it would be a terrible idea to appoint a former player with no or little coaching background. Take a look at Frank Lampard’s experience at Chelsea.

The former France international played football for Fiorentina and Salernitana and netted five goals in 74 Serie A games.According to Sky, Ribery’s former team, Bayern Munich, may appoint him as a young team coach in 2024–2025. Former players have always been welcome to apply for coaching and administration positions at Bayern. For their young teams, they had Miroslav Klose and Martin Demichelis as coaches.

When the German full-back resigned in 2017, he was apparently given the option to assume a managerial role at the team, but Philipp Lahm had other ideas. A number of former players hold managerial and board responsibilities at the Bavarian club.Colantuono was named by Salernitana on Tuesday to succeed Fabio Liverani. Colantuono, the fourth manager the Granata hires in 2023–24, makes his third career trip back to the Stadio Arechi.Salernitana are currently at the bottom of the Serie A standings. Their next game is scheduled for April 1 away at Bologna.
