The Azzurri will take on two South American nations
Italy national team head coach Luciano Spalletti has named his 28-man squad for the upcoming international friendlies against Venezuela and Ecuador in March 2024.
There is good news for the Italian team as Destiny Udogie returns to national team duty after missing the last break due to an injury.
The former Napoli manager has also given a chance to three new players. Torino’s wing-back Raoul Bellanova, Hellas Verona midfielder Michael Folorunsho (on loan from Napoli), and Udinese striker Lorenzo Lucca (on loan from Pisa) have been called up for the first time.
Raoul Bellanova has been linked with a move to Manchester United over the last few weeks. He has one goal and five assists for his side in the league and could be on a big-money move in the summer. The wing-back has around 80 appearances for his nation at the junior level.
Michael Folorunsho, who is 26 years old, is of Nigerian descent and is in great form for a struggling Hellas Verona side.
Lorenzo Pellegrini returns to the national squad after missing out in November.
Italy will travel to the United States for both their fixtures against the South American sides. The game against Venezuela will be played in Inter Miami’s Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, and the Ecuador match is set to be played at the Red Bull Arena in New York.
