Adeyemi had agreed on personal terms to join the Serie A club.

Karim Adeyemi’s move to Juventus has come to a standstill after Borussia Dortmund changed their mind about the sale of the youngster. The German club wants to keep the 22-year-old after the Italian club agreed personal terms with Adeyemi.

The Bianconeri saw Adeyemi as an ideal player for their attacking unit. But a major obstacle in the talks with Dortmund has now put the deal on hold. It’s unlikely that he will join the Serie A club.

However, further reports confirmed that Juventus never made an offer to Dortmund, as the talks only commenced from the player’s side. Now the 22-year-old is set to continue at the club under a new head coach.

The former Red Bull Salzburg player became a well-known figure during his time at the Austrian club. His talent attracted many clubs, and Dortmund were the first to make a move in 2022. After joining Dortmund in 2022, Adeyemi’s performance with the team has been volatile.

The forward last season took Dortmund to the UEFA Champions League final, where they lost 2-0 to Real Madrid. The 22-year-old had numerous chances to score in the final. The forward will now look to prepare for the upcoming season under new head coach Nuri Sahin, who replaced Edin Terzic.

Meanwhile, Juventus will undergo a new era themselves after they appointed Thiago Motta as a new head coach, replacing Massimiliano Allegri. Allegri has been one of the longest-serving managers of the Serie A side.

The former Barcelona player Thiago Motta gained stardom as a manager last season, leading Bologna to finish third in Serie A and a Champions League berth. As a result, Motta’s selection came as not a surprise.

Juventus will hope to sign more players in the transfer window to provide Motta with better resources for the upcoming season. They will aim to challenge for the league title after last winning it in the 2019–20 season.
