Kieran Trippier wants to leave Newcastle United: Report

The full-back has 12 months left on his contract.
Kieran Trippier is now open to new challenges. He wants to leave Newcastle United despite the head coach Eddie Howe wanting the full-back to remain at the club.
This comes after the player was an unused substitute in their first Premier League game of the season against Southampton. Bruno Guimaraes was made the captain for that match.
Trippier has been often seen as the backup captain when Jamaal Lascelles is out of the game. Trippier then played a U-21 game against Sunderland with manager Howe in the stands.
The England international has a year left on his contract. He is eager to find a new club in the coming week. Atalanta and Galatasaray have shown an interest. Premier League clubs, West Ham and Everton are also keeping tabs on his situation.
Newcastle United have already seen big changes. Key allies Amanda Staveley and Dan Ashworth have left the club along with their board position. Now the former Atletico Madrid player is also considering his future, be it a loan or a permanent move.
However, Trippier certainly won’t be short on options. But it will be his decision if he wants to continue in England or relocate to some other country.
Despite being in his mid-30s, the full-back will attract many clubs. Bayern Munich were keen on signing him in January before the player decided to remain at Tyneside.
Trippier joined Magpies from Atletico in 2022. He has helped the club achieve Champions League qualification under the new owner. He will evaluate his decision before the end of the summer window. He could even leave for free next summer if he fails to extend his contract with Newcastle.
