Jurgen Klopp reveals Jota and Trent will start training next week
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will speak to the media in anticipation of his team’s home match against Sheffield United on Thursday.
The Reds manager is anticipated to deliver information on a number of players, such as Andy Robertson and Diogo Jota, who have missed games due to injuries. Ahead of the hectic final stretch, Klopp will be hopeful that the injury list starts to thin up. Curtis Jones is one player who might make a comeback against the Blades.
Jones has been recovering from the injury more quickly now, especially during the international break. On Sunday, Klopp made a suggestion that the midfield player would soon return to the matchday roster. When Liverpool plays Chris Wilder’s team, they could already be behind in the fight for the championship. On Wednesday night, Arsenal will play home to Luton Town, a team that is fighting for relegation, with the hope of defeating the Reds to take the top spot before Klopp’s team plays.

With a trip to rival Manchester United coming up on Sunday, Klopp might also be inclined to rest a number of important players against Wilder’s struggling squad. Only three weeks will pass until the matchup takes place following the Reds’ FA Cup quarterfinal loss to Erik ten Hag’s team.
Jurgen Klopp anticipates Trent Alexander-Arnold and Diogo Jota returning to Liverpool’s training the following week.
Wataru Endo is questionable for the upcoming match following an injury sustained against Brighton, according to Klopp, who also hinted that Alisson Becker is getting closer to making a comeback despite not having heard from the goalkeeping staff yet. Both players have been sidelined for the past few months due to injuries, but Klopp revealed ahead of Sheffield United’s visit on Thursday that they may resume team training the following week, which would be a significant boost to their fitness before the Premier League final.
“Curtis Jones is in training, is in contention,” Klopp said. “Yes, that is it pretty much. The boys are doing well, Diogo and Trent are together in a group but it just looks like next week hopefully in parts of team training. No Alisson, he looks good but in his mind as well, next week he will be part of team training.”
