The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Saudi

If Ederson departs, Manchester City will make a move for AC Milan’s outstanding custodian, Mike Maignan, recent reports suggest.

The transfer staff led by City manager Pep Guardiola is preparing in case Saudi Arabian money is offered for their Brazilian No. 1 and the upcoming season and beyond, Maignan, 28, is their first choice to cover the possible king-sized void in their lineup.

The France goalkeeper Maignan is playing at the highest level for both club and country. This summer, he will represent Les Bleus in the Euros, where he will be watched by other clubs.

Who can replace Mike Maignan at AC Milan?

Milan are aware that losing a valuable asset would force them to launch their own Premier League raid.

Jordan Pickford, 30, of Everton and England is a target for them and may become available until the Toffees work through their financial problems. He would probably cost them £30 million.

Additionally, Milan have considered making an unexpected approach for 26-year-old Aaron Ramsdale, an Arsenal reserve who may potentially be available.

Prem clubs are also considering Ramsdale, who was Pickford’s backup when wearing a Three Lions jersey, but the Gunners won’t let him go for peanuts. Ederson is amenable to moving to Saudi Arabia this summer, according to a story from SunSport last month.

The 30-year-old custodian assisted Guardiola’s winners in winning their fourth straight Premier League championship and their sixth overall.

Several Saudi teams are reportedly interested in the Brazilian custodian, who has been with the team for seven years since moving from Benfica in a £35 million deal. Ederson’s contract is set to expire in two years, and City have no intention of selling. However, the Etihad Club would definitely consider a hefty offer that exceeded his value.
