Marco Reus, an absolute Borussia Dortmund and German legend, has decided to leave his beloved club after 12 long years. He will be featuring for his club in his final game in a few days time and that is none other than the big Champions League final against Real Madrid.

Reus can finish his Dortmund career with a Champions League title under his belt. However, he will have his coveted farewell infront of the passionate home supporters when Dortmund plays SV Darmstadt in their final game of the Bundesliga this season at the Westfalenstadion. The Yellow Wall will be able to pay their final tribute to their beloved legend for one last time.

His contract is set to expire in June and it is being reported that he is in talks with various MLS clubs to finalise his move to the USA next. In this article, we take a look at the five MLS clubs who can sign Marco Reus after he leaves Borussia Dortmund.

5. Toronto FC

There are various reports and chances that Marco Reus can make his move to Toronto FC in the MLS. The team managed to win the domestic treble in 2017 by winning the MLS Cup, Supporter’s Shield and Canadian championship. They were the first-ever team to achieve this feat.

They are the sixth most valuable club in the MLS and have the highest player payroll in the MLS currently. They can definitely afford Marco Reus and he will give a lot of strength to the squad who are currently at the 4th spot in the MLS points table in Eastern Conference.

4. New York Red Bulls

New York Red Bulls are one of the five MLS teams who can sign Marco Reus. They are a club from New York and based in the Eastern Conference. The Red Bulls play their home matches played in the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. The team has reached the final of the MLS Cup just once in 2008.

2. FC Cincinnati

Cincinnati can become yet another option for Marco Reus in the MLS. The club is part of the Eastern Conference. It was established in 2015.

They are currently at number 2 in the points table of the eastern conference. The addition of Marco Reus can provide experience and quality to their squad and can be of great help for them going forward.

1. Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC)

On Tuesday, TUDN expert and former Chilean striker Ivan Zamorano intensified the speculations by limiting Reus’s potential destinations to a Los Angeles team. So, Los Angeles FC are higher up in the list of possible destinations for Marco Reus, come this summer.

The club was set up in 2014 and have an arch-rival in LA Galaxy. During their second season in 2019, Los Angeles FC managed to win the Supporters’ Shield. The club also managed to win their first MLS cup in 2022. They are currently fifth in the points table of the Western Conference. The addition of Marco Reus can greatly boost their squad.
