The Atlas Lions are favourites for the three points here.

Morocco are languishing in the top spot in Group E of the 2026 FIFA World Cup African Qualifiers. The Atlas Lions have played one match so far that too against Tanzania. In that opening match, they easily won by 2-0, Hakim Ziyech gave them the lead and an own goal from Lusajo Mwaikenda sealed the three points for the team.

Zambia currently find themselves in the second spot in the table after collecting three points from the opening two matches. They opened their account with a 4-2 win over Congo followed by a 2-1 loss against Niger. The Copper Bullets have never qualified for the World Cup and this year remains a good chance for them.

Kick-Off:

Saturday, 8 June at 12:30 AM IST

Location: Stade d’Agadir

Form:

Morocco (in all competitions): D-W-L-W-D

Zambia (in all competitions): W-D-L-D-D

Player to Watch

Youssef En-Nesyri (Morocco)

Youssef En-Nesyri had an incredible season with Sevilla despite them being underwhelming. He made 33 appearances for the Spanish team scoring 16 goals.

So far En-Nesyri has made 56 appearances for the national team scoring 18 goals. He is one of the senior players who has seen the highs and lows during his time here. He will be aiming to play a crucial role in Morocco’s push for the World Cup spot after failing to guide the team in 2023 AFCON.

Patson Daka (Zambia)

The Leicester City striker had an incredible season with the Foxes as he scored seven goals in all competitions for the team while also laying on five assists for his teammates.

Patson Daka is a pacey striker who likes to play on the back of defenders using his pace and trickery to score goals. He also has a venom of the left foot and can score some outrageous goals at the same time. Daka has an incredible record with the national team scoring 20 goals in 29 appearances.
