Three-time African champions eye continental glory after missing out on FIFA World Cup 2026

The Fez Stadium in Fes, Morocco, gears up to host the Matchweek 1 fixture of AFCON 2025 featuring three-time African champions Nigeria and Tanzania.

Tanzania have qualified consecutively for the last three editions of AFCON. This year, they emerged as the runners-up of Group H, alongside teams like Congo, Guinea and Ethiopia. They are led by Argentine coach Miguel Angel, who has led teams like Wydad AC and Young Africans.

Mbwana Samatta (Tanzania)
