List of players nominated for Premier League Hall of Fame 2024

Ashely Cole was recently inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame 2024

Fans are asked to cast their votes for the two players they would want to see included in the 15 players named by the Premier League for induction into the Hall of Fame in 2024.

The list includes a number of legendary players from the past, including legendary journeyman striker Jermain Defoe, Manchester United great Nemanja Vidic and teammate Gary Neville, and current players Cesc Fabregas, Eden Hazard, and David Silva, all of whom are eligible after retiring.

Sol Campbell, Les Ferdinand, Michael Carrick, Robbie Fowler, John Terry, Andrew Cole, Eden Hazard, Yaya Toure, Jermain Defoe, Gary Neville, Edwin van der Sar, Cesc Fabregas, Michael Owen, and David Silva are the entire list of nominees.A customised medallion inscribed with the year of their admission and a £10,000 donation to a charity of their choice are presented to each Hall of Fame inductee.

Since the Hall of Fame’s founding in 2021, 21 people have been inducted.David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Eric Cantona, Thierry Henry, Roy Keane, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, and Alan Shearer became the first members.

Sergio Agüero, Didier Drogba, Vincent Kompany, Wayne Rooney, Peter Schmeichel, Paul Scholes, Patrick Vieira, and Ian Wright were added in 2022, while Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger became the first two coaches to be admitted in 2023.Ashley Cole will join the esteemed Manchester United and Arsenal managers Tony Adams, Petr Cech, and Rio Ferdinand who were all elected.

Voting for the two options is available to supporters on the official Premier League app as well as at in premierleague.com/halloffame. On Monday, April 8, voting will remain open until noon. On Monday, April 22, the two inductees will be revealed.

Ashley Cole was inducted as the 22nd member of the Premier League Hall of Fame. The three-time champion discusses his incredible career, including his favourite Premier League moments, childhood aspirations, and what it means to be rewarded with a spot among the greats.

“I’m honoured to join the Premier League Hall of Fame. It’s humbling and fulfilling to be rewarded at the end of your career. I went through my 20-year career span just trying to give my best and be good enough. You take it day by day and game by game. As a young kid, you never dream of any of this and you just do it for the love of the game of football.

“I played for some fantastic clubs with incredible fans. Winning trophies with my boyhood club Arsenal and with Chelsea are amazing memories that will always be with me.

“It’s emotional to reflect because a lot of hard work has been put in and to be put alongside the likes of Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Didier Drogba and Rio Ferdinand, I’m privileged to be in their company.”
