In the Premier League, often even the “smaller” teams shock the big teams on numerous occasions. Just like the teams surprise and entertain fans, there are many uprising players as well. Many new names worked their way into the top goalscoring charts for the 2023-2024 Premier League season.

Let’s take a look at the top seven players with the most goals scored in the 2023-2024 Premier League season:

7. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – 18 goals

Liverpool’s star player has had a drop in form throughout the season. Despite a drop in form, Salah is still an excellent player. Salah scored 18 Premier League goals this season for Liverpool and was their top scorer as well this season.

This was Mohamed Salah’s lowest goal tally in the Premier League for Liverpool. The Egyptian winger managed to score 18 goals in 32 appearances for the Reds.

6. Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) – 19 goals

Watkins is definitely a surprise addition to this list. Ollie Watkins also won the Premier League playmaker of the season award as well. Ollie Watkins played a key role as Aston Villa finished 4th place in the table and secured a UCL spot.

The Aston Villa striker is definitely improving his goal tally season by season. Ollie Watkins scored 11 goals two seasons ago, 15 last season and now a staggering 19 goals in the 2023-2024 season.

Not only did Ollie Watkins score 19 goals but he also had the most assists (13) this season. Ollie Watkins was the top scorer and also registered the most assists for Aston Villa during the 2023-24 season in the PL.

5. Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth) – 19 goals

The most underrated and unexpected player to make it to this list is Dominic Solanke. He scored 19 goals in 38 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth this season. His contribution has helped Bournemouth finish 12th in the PL table.

Before this season, Dominic Solanke struggled to make an impact at Liverpool and at Chelsea as well. Even last season Solanke managed to score just 5 goals in 33 league appearances for Bournemouth. It is fair to say that Solanke has had a breakthrough in the 2023-2024 season scoring 19 goals.

4. Phil Foden (Manchester City) – 19 goals

Manchester City’s homegrown talent has become a world-class player. Phil Foden is very talented and has proven his talent consistently but the 2023-2024 season changed everything. As of now, Phil Foden is arguably one of the best players in the world and in contention for the Ballon d’Or as well.

Phil Foden scored a brace on the last matchday against West Ham as well which was a very crucial win to secure the title for Manchester City. Overall, Foden had some minor injuries which limited him to play 35 games instead of 38 games. Nevertheless, Phil Foden’s 19 goals tally in 35 Premier League appearances this season is extremely commendable.

3. Alexander Isak (Newcastle) – 21 goals

Isak is definitely on the radar of many big clubs after his commendable 2023-2024 season in the Premier League.

Isak was struggling last season with injuries and inconsistency in scoring goals. The Newcastle striker managed to play only 22 games and scored 10 goals. However this season Isak had some minor injuries but managed to play 30 Premier League games.

What’s commendable is that despite playing in 30 games Isak has scored a staggering 21 Premier League goals. Surely Alexander Isak could have finished as the top scorer in the Premier League if he played the remaining 8 games.

Just like Isak, Cole Palmer also could have found himself at the top of the list since he missed two matches because of a cold and a suspension.
