The league also has housed possibly every other great football manager on earth since its inception.
The likes of Alex Ferguson and Arsène Wenger are some who have grown the stature of the clubs they managed over a long period of time. Also their have been few who have did big things even though their time period in charge is still very small compared to others. One such name is Mikel Arteta, the current head coach of Arsenal.
Recently Arteta registered 100 PL wins as a manager in just 169 games. Let’s have a look at the top six coaches list who have won a century of games in the least time possible in the Premier League.
6. Arsène Wenger – 179 games
Although Mikel Arteta has overtaken Arsène Wenger in the managerial record of Arsenal as the quickest to win 100 PL games, Wenger still holds his place in the top six.
The French coach was at the helm for 22 long years and was a key person in building the Gunners side we see today. Wenger obviously will be happy with fact that his record was broken by his former player.
5. Mikel Arteta – 169 games
Who would have thought one of the players who used to be coached by the legendary Arsène Wenger would come back as coach to break his record? None. Yes, exactly. Mikel Arteta did just that.

Alex Ferguson and Manchester United are words that go hand in hand. Although one used to lead the other, both have come a long way in terms of growth and winning titles. 3. Jürgen Klopp – 159 games
This is the final stretch of Jürgen Klopp as the boss of Liverpool. Klopp had announced to step down as the coach back in January. The German tactician was appointed back in the summer of 2015. Previously he used to do the job at Borussia Dortmund in Germany. The magical part of his stay here in Anfield was the 159 games that he needed only to give the Reds 100 wins in the league.
2. José Mourinho – 142 games
The hottest manager around who is a free agent currently is none other than José Mourinho. The Portuguese manager was last seen coaching AS Roma in Italy before being sacked mid January.

1. Pep Guardiola – 134 games
José Mourinho’s record stood true for few years only until a certain man who was appointed by Manchester City as the head coach back in 2016 went on to do better than the Special One. By the end of 2019, Pep Guardiola was the new superior winner in England as a manager in the big league.
He needed just 134 games to win 100 PL games with City. Guardiola who guided the Sky Blues to winning a treble last season is currently focused on trying to win the Premier League title again with four more games left for them to play.
