Top seven records Lionel Messi can break in 2024 Copa America

Copa America 2024 kicks off on 20 June
The Argentina national football team and Lionel Messi will once again be roaring to get their hands on the upcoming Copa America title. They won the 2021 edition by defeating the Brazil national football team in the finals.
The head coach of the Argentina side, Lionel Scaloni has already announced a provisional 29 man squad. With the final 26-man shortlist to be submitted by June 12, he has a fair amount of time to further trim his selection. Scaloni is more than likely to do so after the June 10 friendly fixture against Ecuador.
But we all know, Lionel Messi will be the main man no matter what. Argentina’s football team captain played a big part in helping his side lift the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar back in December 2022. Previously he even led Argentina in winning the 2021 Copa America.
But were things as pretty as they look now? In retrospect, both Messi and his teammates have come a long way after missing out on the title on many occasions by finishing in the runner-up spot. The media was scrutinizing them in excess, which even made the legend retire back then. Without Messi being pulled out of retirement would have Argentina lifted two major trophies in the last few years? Obviously a big ‘NO’.
Anyways those things are of the past. At present, the Inter Miami club captain has the following seven records on his radar. And all seems breakable come Copa America in June.
