Spurs will look to put more misery on injury hit Luton

Tottenham are currently in 5th place, three points behind Aston Villa, with one game in hand. With the Lilywhites playing some wonderful football at the moment, Angel Postecoglou has made them one of the best attacking teams in the league. In spite of losing the London Derby against Fulham last week, he will be hoping for a reaction in this match against Luton, which is injured.

Luton have endured a disappointing run of form in the last couple of matches with the team failing to win in the last ten matches. They are currently one point shy of relegation with the team facing a risk of getting relegated if they do not start winning games. It is unfortunate that Rob Edwards will be unable to field eleven players at this match due to injury this season. Their current position is 17th in the table with the next few matches playing a decisive role in their relegation.

Kick-Off:

Sat, 30 March 2024 at 8:30 PM IST

Location: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Form:

Tottenham (in all competitions): L-W-W-L-W

Luton (in all competitions): D-L-D-L-L

Player to Watch

James Maddison (Tottenham)

This season, Tottenham’s attacking midfielder James Maddison has performed exceptionally well, contributing greatly to the team’s push for the top four. He has scored four goals and provided seven assists for his teammates.

His creativity and linkup play has been outstanding to watch. As a result of his distribution in the final third, he is gradually becoming an integral member of the team. Furthermore, he is deadly from set pieces and can score spectacular goals at any time.

Carlton Morris (Luton)

With his eight goals and four assists so far this season, the veteran forward has proven to be a shrewd addition to the team. As a striker, Carlton Morris is typically physically imposing and likes to win aerial duels and to make space for himself by using his physique. Due to a number of key players missing from the team, he will be crucial for them in the upcoming matches. He has a poacher’s instinct inside the box.

Match Facts

  • Tottenham lost to Fulham in the last match
