As usual, every year the UEFA Super Cup takes place between the winners of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. This time, we will have clubs that won their maiden European trophies this term.
Paris Saint-Germain, who were crowned champions of the UEFA Champions League after defeating Inter Milan 5-0 in the final, will play Tottenham, the current holders of the UEFA Europa League after beating Manchester United 1-0, in the 2025 UEFA Super Cup.

On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at 21:00 CET (12:30 a.m. IST on Thursday, August 14, 2025), the 2025 UEFA Super Cup will kick off.

Stadio Friuli, the home of Italian Serie A team Udinese, was one of six locations used for the 2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championship. Spain’s triumph over Germany in the final was one of four games it hosted.
After Prague (2013), Cardiff (2014), Tbilisi (2015), Trondheim (2016), Skopje (2017), Tallinn (2018), Istanbul (2019), Budapest (2020), Belfast (2021), Helsinki (2022), Piraeus (2023), and Warsaw (2024), this will be the thirteenth location to host the UEFA Super Cup since the tournament was moved from its longtime home of Monaco.
At the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland, Real Madrid defeated Atalanta 2-0 to win the 2024 Super Cup thanks to goals from Federico Valverde and Kylian Mbappé, who made his debut.
What is the UEFA Super Cup?
Created by Dutch writer Anton Witkamp to determine the finest club team in Europe, the UEFA Super Cup is an annual competition between the Champions League and Europa League winners.
The European Cup/Champions League champions have always participated, taking on the winners of the UEFA Cup/Europa League (2000–) or the European/UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup (1973–99).
The game will immediately move to a penalty shootout if the scores are tied after regular time. There won’t be extra time.
