Davies and Mbappe are rumoured to be joining Madrid next season
When questioned by a fan on Thursday night regarding the anticipated acquisition of Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez cheekily said, “Who is Mbappe?”
As previously reported by The Athletic and several other sources last month, Mbappe has informed PSG that he will not be staying with them after his contract expires on June 30.
When he went to see his club’s basketball squad compete in the Euroleague this week at the WiZink Centre, he denied knowing about the player, despite the Spanish publication MARCA reporting that the 25-year-old had already signed a five-year contract with Perez.
When a fan inquired about Mbappe’s potential visit to the Bernabeu, Perez responded, “Mbappe? Ironically, Mbappe asked, “Who is Mbappe?” as he posed for pictures.Earlier, in reference to Alphonso Davies, the defender for Bayern Munich, he grinned and responded similarly when informed, “You have to bring Davies [to Madrid]”.Davies and Real Madrid have reportedly reached a verbal agreement, according to a recent report from The Athletic.

But unlike Mbappe, who becomes free in just over three months, the Canadian has a deal that expires in mid-2025.
As a result, Bayern will demand payment for one of the top left-backs in the world this summer. According to a recent report from MARCA, the Bavarians are willing to pay approximately $55 million for the player.
As a result, OK Diario is suggesting that the La Liga leaders will give Ferland Mendy as a bartering piece in a part-exchange deal. If Davies can be signed, Mbappe’s national team colleague’s spot in the starting eleven could be in danger, barring injury.
