Erling Haaland will continue to start for Norway despite a minor fitness issue he had with the national squad recently. He’s fit and prepared to play, according to the coach and the player.
Due to injuries, Haaland has missed eleven games so far this season. With an important match against Arsenal coming up, the Sky Blues cannot afford to lose their best player. In a crucial match for the title, Man City will face the Gunners at the Etihad on March 31. They will be hoping that their star player is well and available to play.
In his first social media post after the injury scare, the 23-year-old took to Instagram to wish a pal a happy birthday instead of commenting on what happened while he was abroad on international service. There’s no need to remind Arsenal of how important their match against City is, since it has the potential to determine which team will win the Premier League. Although Mikel Arteta’s team lost their previous visit to the Etihad 4-1, they cannot afford a similar result this time around.
Giving his opinion on this crucial matchup, Guardiola said recently:

“We have a final against Arsenal. But for now we rest. I don’t want to think about the future – it has been such an intense period.
“With the players [going on international duty] a change of environment is good, some of them will be allowed to see their families. When we come back, we have three days to prepare for the game against Arsenal. Let’s go.”
Haaland has since acknowledged there is no injury, and Ola Sand, the team doctor for Norway, was cited as downplaying any concerns. Before the friendly, Haaland gave a press conference, which TV2 quotes him as saying:
“I’m feeling fine. I didn’t walk off the training. I don’t know who wrote that. I trained a full training session. I feel good and am ready to play the match.” Manager Stale Solbakken has promised that Haaland will start the game, barring any injury.
