Bundesliga has always been home to young players who would go on to become one of the most exciting talents around the world. In the league, many young talents make a breakthrough every year, thanks to the clubs willing to provide them with the opportunity to compete against the best players in the world.

The players have been courted by some of the biggest clubs in the world since they have grown and have been impressed with their growth, which has benefited clubs like RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund. 

The latest examples are Jamal Musiala and Florian Wirtz who are now considered the best players in the world for their position. At just 20 years old, they have already made 100 appearances for their clubs. Let’s take a look at the top five youngest players to reach 100 Bundesliga appearances.

5. Jamal Musiala – 20 Years, 6 Months & 3 Days

In the past few seasons, Jamal Musiala has undoubtedly been one of the best players in the Bundesliga. Despite only turning 21, he has already smashed 155 appearances for Bayern Munich. This is an impressive feat for a youngster who has already established himself as an important cog in the team and also for the German National Team. 

He primarily plays on the left flank, where he is able to dribble past opponents to cut inside and score goals with his right foot. There’s no doubt that Jamal Musiala has an exceptional passing range. He can thread incredible passes for his teammates, with Harry Kane the latest beneficiary to enjoy playing with him.

4. Florian Wirtz – 20 Years, 9 Months & 20 Days

It’s no secret that Florian Wirtz is making waves in the Bundesliga as the latest talent from the Bayer Leverkusen academy. It is easy to compare him to Iniesta because of his similar playing style. This season, he has elevated his game to the next level, helping Bayer Leverkusen become favourites for the title. 

A number of top clubs are willing to pay a huge sum to get Florian Wirtz away from Bayer. Wirtz already has ten goals and 17 assists this season, which is an incredible number for a 20-year-old. 

3. Julian Draxler – 20 Years, 7 Months & 13 Days

The street won’t forget Julian Draxler who once was dubbed to become the next superstar of the footballing world. The German International rose to stardom during his time at Schalke, when he made over 100 appearances at the age of 20. After closing his chapter in Europe, he now plays for Al-Ahli.

He was the first player to record 100 appearances at an early age, indicating his enormous potential during that time. Julian Draxler will be fondly remembered for his time in the Bundesliga, where he displayed the best performances of his career. He has played for some of Europe’s best clubs, including Schalke, Wolfsburg, PSG, and Benfica.

2. Timo Werner- 20 Years, 6 Months & 19 Days

When he was 20 years old, Timo Werner was the second youngest player in history to make 100 appearances. He was an unknown player during his time at Stuttgart, where he first showed his potential. His career was sparked by becoming the leading scorer for the RB Leipzig league in which he became the league’s top scorer.

With his speed and directness in the attacking third, he has a decent record of scoring goals. Chelsea paid a huge sum for him to join them at Stamford Bridge where he enjoyed one of his most successful seasons. 

1. Kai Havertz- 20 Years, 6 Months & 3 Days

Even though he didn’t show his huge potential at Bayer Leverkusen, Kai Havertz was still one of the league’s top players despite not showing his full potential. As the youngest player in history to make 100 appearances at the young age of 20 years, 6 months and 3 days, he is still the youngest player to do so. As a former Bayer Leverkusen player, Kai Havertz scored 46 goals in 150 appearances. He now plays for Arsenal.

He is most known for being able to play many positions in the final third, which makes him a versatile player. He started his tenure as an attacking midfielder and now with time, he had to adapt to play as a striker with his most memorable performance coming in the Champions League final for Chelsea, where he netted the winner for them to win his first major trophy.
