The Peru national football team are in full preparation gear for the upcoming 2024 Copa America tournament. They are in the same group as 2021 Copa America champions Argentina while Chile and Canada complete Group A. La Blanquirroja will go against Paraguay in a friendly before another against El Salvador, ultimately building up for their Copa America opener against Chile.

Paraguay have scheduled three friendlies including this one before the Copa America. Their first assignment in the latter will be facing Colombia in Group D. Brazil and Costa Rica complete that group. After the Peru friendly, the Albirroja will deal with Chile and later Panama.
