Named in honour of Canadian Formula 1 driver Gilles Villeneuve, the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is located on Île Notre-Dame, a man-made island along the St. Lawrence River in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. With a circuit length of 4.631 kilometers, it has 14 corners and completes 70 laps.

Mercedes showed improved performance with Hamilton and George Russell finishing second and third, respectively. Although Lewis Hamilton currently sits in fourth place in the championship, behind Verstappen, Red Bull’s Sergio Perez, and Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso, he is a seven-time winner at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, making him one of the most successful drivers at this venue.
Aston Martin are heading into the Canadian Grand Prix with optimism, as they are preparing to unveil their most significant upgrade of the year. Fernando Alonso currently in third place in the Drivers’ standings, Aston Martin currently trails behind with 134 points and are hoping to lessen this point deficit in Circuit de Gilles Villeneuve with the help of their new car upgrade.
