As the 2023 season concludes its journey, the final chapter unfolds with the Abu Dhabi GP this weekend, capping off another thrilling adventure around the world. However, the excitement surrounding this event might be tempered by Max Verstappen and Red Bull’s early-season dominance. Despite the series of predictable outcomes, the season has created many memorable moments.

The Abu Dhabi GP will conclude the 2023 season, granting the drivers a well-deserved three-month break with no race and getting back to preparations for next season.

With this backdrop, what expectations can we have for the concluding race weekend? While championship titles have already been decided, the final race of the season holds intriguing storylines and possibilities that could make it a memorable send-off.

5. McLaren’s Redemption on Conventional Ground

After a not-so-exciting performance in Las Vegas, McLaren aims for redemption on the more conventional Yas Marina circuit. McLaren is only 11 points in front of Aston Martin. Hence, the fight for P3 in the Constructors’ Championship against Aston Martin remains pivotal, and McLaren is determined to secure a podium finish to solidify their season.

4. Tsunoda’s Resurgence- Finishing Top 10

Yuki Tsunoda, showing promise in his debut season, gears up for a powerful comeback in Formula 1’s upcoming campaign. With recent standout performances and AlphaTauri’s inspired upgrades, Tsunoda is expected to finish in the top 10 in Abu Dhabi, setting the stage for a compelling run in the next season.

Not to forget his spectacular performance finishing fourth at Yas Marina in 2021. As Tsunoda matures as a driver, the anticipation builds for AlphaTauri’s storming entrance into the next Formula 1 season.

3. Charles Leclerc on Pole Position

As the F1 2023 season nears its end, the spotlight turns to the important qualifying session on Saturday, setting the stage for the main event. Notably, a shift in strategy has seen Red Bull prioritizing race setup over pole positions, leaving room for Ferrari to showcase their prowess in one-lap pace.

Charles Leclerc has been Ferrari’s main strenght in qualifying, securing pole positions in three of his last four outings, including the most recent one in Las Vegas. This trend positions him as the standout contender for P1 once again, as he looks to use Ferrari’s clear advantage in setting fast lap times to his advantage.

2. Constructors’ Standings Battle: Mercedes vs. Ferrari

One of the most compelling storylines heading into the weekend is the fierce battle for P2 in the Constructors’ standings. With just a four-point difference, the Abu Dhabi GP could witness a fierce competition for valuable prize money. Ferrari’s strengths on certain sections of the track might play a crucial role in their quest to overtake Mercedes.

Overall, Ferrari is predicted to edge out Mercedes for P2 in the Constructors’ standings by a slim margin.

1. Verstappen’s Yas Marina Dominance

Max Verstappen’s dominance in the 2023 F1 season is known to all. After an amazing race at the Las Vegas GP, Max Verstappen Red Bull’s strength on this circuit, coupled with Verstappen’s exceptional skills, positions him as a strong contender for another victory, capping off a stellar season. The race prediction sees Max Verstappen claiming victory, extending his dominance at Yas Marina.
