Max Verstappen has dominated the track in the previous two years Miami GPs
The Miami Grand Prix 2024 will mark the return of Formula 1 following a brief hiatus in China. The Miami GP, scheduled to take place in Florida in three years, will host its third edition.
But with the passing of time, fans have already started to anticipate the weekend race. In the previous two years, Miami GPs has witnessed Max Verstappen dominating the track in his unbeatable car. But some may be curious about the type of outcomes this year’s race may bring.
Here are some bold predictions that promise to make this race weekend one to remember.
5. Mercedes is still hopeless
The Silver Arrows haven’t been able to even make it to the top five up this season, except for the Bahrain GP. But the fans can expect that to change in the upcoming race.
Mercedes are all set to bring an upgrade package of their own for the Miami GP. However, the team themselves have admitted that the correlation between the wind tunnel and the track isn’t the best and it hasn’t been for a long while now.
This still makes it uncertain whether the car will be able to compete at its full potential. Fortunately, we might see Russell do well as he has been practically carrying the team by himself this far.
4. Haas scores points
Haas is optimistic about their performance at the upcoming Miami GP. The team believes that with the track that suits perfectly their car and current midfield position, they might have a chance of scoring points.
Unlike Red Bull, who excel in fast-speed sectors, Haas has a history of performing better on tracks with long straights and high temperatures.
With this advantage, there’s a possibility of Nico Hulkenberg securing a point or two for the American team in the upcoming race.

3. Alpine’s weight reduction strategy
Alpine has supposedly managed to lose 4kg from their car, which is just a tenth and a half in itself just from weight reduction. The French team is one of the only ones that haven’t managed to get its single-seater up to the minimal weight permitted by the FIA.
Hence the team might experience some performance upgrades in the upcoming race.
2. Ferrari will retain their performance
We might get to see Ferrari in a more competitive form in the approaching race. The track’s hotter weather and long straights are expected to play to their strengths.
The car has struggled with tire temperature issues, but this time the warmer conditions might work in their favor. The team might also come up with some strategic adjustments to improve their car’s performance on this specific track.
But it is still safe to say that the team might perform really well regardless of the favorable tire conditions, as Ferrari has been in exceptionally good form this season.
1. Max Verstappen takes home the trophy
At this point, when it comes to discussing bold predictions about any race, Max Verstappen winning the race has been an obvious and constant thing in every one of them. There have been five races till now and Red Bull has easily managed to dominate the season.
The long straights and high-speed sections at the Miami GP just appeals to the car and can additionally contribute to RB20’s powerful performance.
