It’s Apex time!

The Apex Legends Global Championship (ALGS 2024 Championship) is all set to entertain fans and the esports community in Sapporo, Japan. The top 40 teams will compete in a monumental $2 million prize pool.

This championship is organized by EA and Respawn Entertainment. Let’s check out details on schedule, format, teams, where to watch and more in this article.

Event schedule and format

Here is the format and schedule for the upcoming ALGS 2024 Championship:

  • Group Stage: From January 29 to 30, the 40 teams are divided into four groups of ten and compete in a round-robin format. Each club will play 18 matches across three series.
  • Bracket Stage: After the group stage, teams are divided into a Winners and Losers bracket based on their performance. On January 31, the bottom 20 teams from the group stage enter the Losers Bracket Round 1, with only the top 10 moving on to Round 2. The following day, February 1, there will be another round of elimination in the Losers Bracket, with the top survivors advancing to the finals.
  • Finals: On February 2, the 20 surviving teams will compete under the Match Point Format. The first team to reach 50 points and win a match wins the championship, with the remaining teams ranking by total points.

ALGS 2024 Championship teams

Here are the 40 teams that have been divided into four groups:

  • Group A: Moist Esports, TSM, Cloud9, 100 Thieves, NRG, EXO Clan, Ninjas in Pyjamas, shadow3690, FaZe Clan, Oblivion.
  • Group B: Fnatic, Guild Esports, Primis Komanda, VK Gaming, Complexity Gaming, Virtus.pro, ex-Mkers, Dragons Esports, XNY, Meteor.
  • Group C: Gaimin Gladiators, Team Falcons, Luminosity Gaming, Aurora Gaming, Team Burger, Noctem Esports, Orgless and Hungry, GHS Professional, REIGNITE, Ethernal.
  • Group D: Alliance, Crazy Raccoon, Loan Sharks, Team Liquid, DreamFire, FURIA Esports, GoNext Esports, ENTER FORCE.36, Stallions, Supernova.

Prize pool and where to watch?

ALGS 2024 Championship will offer $2 million USD in prizes, with $600,000 for the champions, $320,000 for second place, and $210,000 and $170,000 for third and fourth places respectively. Fans would be able to catch all this esports action live on Apex Legends Global Series’ YouTube channel and the PlayApex Twitch channel.
