Another masterpiece in the making
Arrowhead Studios, known for their biggest hit, “Helldivers 2” has already laid the groundwork for their upcoming new project. The game’s creative director, Johan Pilestedt, recently turned to social media to announce that he is working on the “high concept” for the studio’s forthcoming project.
This tweet has already sparked commotion among the gaming community and fans as they are quite excited about this news. Let’s check out more details in this article.
What’s next for Arrowhead Studios?
As 2025 has started, Pilestedt made a post where he asked the fans and community to share their incredible ideas and expectations for what Arrowhead might do next.
The response was huge as fans loved that the studio was really giving importance to what the gaming community and fans wanted to play next.
Fans responded overwhelmingly, requesting everything from classic game remakes to totally new genres. Notably, one fan proposed the return of the classic twin-stick shooter “Smash TV.”
Pilestedt answered by admitting that a similar concept had been proposed within Arrowhead “a long time ago,” providing a taste of what this game could have looked like: a top-down recreation set in a dystopian future game show. He also hinted at a previous project, a first-person, on-rails shooter based on Star Fox.
Another one gave a troll idea about a new Sims game but in the Helldivers 2 universe. Pilestedt replied with the remark, “Haha social score simulator.” Some fans even asked him to revive the old games like “Warhawk/Starhawk.” While some would like to see a Helldivers 2 and Warhammer 40k universe collaboration in the future.
