Make these changes before playing!

Everyone is ready to start the journey of Sam Porter once again in Death Stranding 2. However, before you jump into the adventures, some setting changes can provide you best possible experience.

The early access will start from today, June 24, 2025 and the game will officially launch on June 26, 2025. Let’s check out the best setting changes in the game in this article.

Catch Every Update, Anytime, Anywhere

Use these settings in Death Stranding 2

Graphics

In the settings menu, under the graphics settings tab, you can adjust the game’s brightness and graphics mode. You can either set it to prioritize quality or performance.

The performance mode gives a constant 60fps, while the quality will provide 30fps. The game is so optimized that you barely see any difference when it comes to visuals and graphics.

Even in the performance mode, you will get the photo-realistic graphics and that Decima engine magic.

Camera settings

Under the camera settings tabs, you can increase your normal, vertical and horizontal speed values. For some players, the default 50 value might feel slow.

You can adjust the speed value to around 65-70 to achieve the best camera movement, which is better for immersive gameplay. Players can also tweak these settings according to their comfort level.

Aiming Response Curve type

This setting will be found under the Controller section. It is on default and you have to change it to Linear.

Once you have done this, you also have to increase the camera acceleration to 3 and the deceleration to 8.

These changes will improve your aim, aiming speed and camera movement in Death Stranding 2. These will also make hitting enemies’ weak points a lot easier.

Left and Right stick dead zones

These settings can be found under the controller tab and they are by default at 1 value. Make it to zero for better responsiveness from the controller sticks.

If your controller has stick drift, then increase the value up to 3 or use another controller.

Controls for Soothing Lou

Now, there is a specific setting available in the controller tab for Baby Lou. You can soothe him with the help of the left stick or by using the motion sensor. I prefer a motion sensor as the best option here.
