Is there any hope?
One of the best games of FromSoftware, Bloodborne has always been on trendy topic with the remaster work and 60fps patch. According to Shuhei Yoshida, the former CEO of PlayStation’s first-party studios, the project’s delay is owing to Hidetaka Miyazaki, the mastermind behind FromSoftware, who has a busy schedule.
During a recent interview with Kinda Funny Games podcast, Yoshida shared some of his thoughts and insight about many things. Let’s check out more details in this article.
Shuhei Yoshida’s thoughts on Bloodborne
Shuhei Yoshida has shared his theory and speculation about why PlayStation has not done anything with Bloodborne till now. According to him, Hidetaka Miyazaki has a very deep affection and love for that game and doesn’t want anyone to touch it.
This is what he said, “Miyazaki-san really loved Bloodborne. I think he is interested, but he is so successful he cannot do it himself. He doesn’t want anyone else to touch it.”
PlayStation seems to have respected his wish and hasn’t done anything to the game. Miyazaki’s current responsibilities, including what he calls his “ideal RPG” and successful endeavors such as Elden Ring and the Armored Core resurrection, keep him busy, which explains the delay in the Bloodborne remake.
Despite the existence of unofficial PC versions, the community continues to seek an official remaster or even a PC port. Yoshida has received several questions regarding Bloodborne on social media, highlighting the game’s continued appeal and fans’ desire for an update.
Even if they can’t make a remaster for now, at least they should give a PC port and a 60 fps patch on the console. For now, as a fan, we can only wait and hope there will be a new update for this game in the future.
Till then, you can register for the Elden Ring Nightreign network test which will start next month. Fans are pretty excited about this new co-op survival game by FromSoftware.
