Cyberpunk 2077 has officially sold 35 million copies

On November 26, 2025, CD Projekt Red revealed its financial report and revealed many things about its upcoming projects, especially Cyberpunk 2 and Witcher 4.

Currently, they are primarily focused on Witcher 4, but have also increased the number of developers for the sequel to Night City. Cyberpunk has also sold 35 million copies, definitely the best comeback in the gaming industry. Let’s check out more details in this article.

New updates on Cyberpunk 2

First and foremost, the sequel to Cyberpunk will not release before 2028. Currently, most of the developers are focused on Witcher 4.

A total of 135 employees have started to work full-time on the sequel. In July, there were 116 employees; slowly they are increasing the number.

This is a joint project between CDPR’s Poland and Boston teams. The Boston team is leading this project. The development for this game is going to scale up massively by the end of 2027. Expect 300-400 employees working on this from Poland and Boston.

There is going to be a new city, inspired by “Chicago gone wrong,” and it is also expected that Night City will also make a return. Keanu Reeves is also interested in making a comeback if he is offered to do so.
