Capcom has recently shared some new details about the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Dark Arisen DLC, which is scheduled to launch on October 9, 2026.
During a recent developer Q&A, game director Kento Kinoshita and producer Naoto Oyama has confirmed that there will be a hard mode and more new details about the DLC. Let’s check those details in this article.
Hard mode arriving with Dragon’s Dogma 2 Dark Arisen DLC
After a lot of requests from the fans, Capcom has finally confirmed that a hard mode will be arriving in the game.
According to director Kento Kinoshita, this difficulty is designed for players who have reached or are pretty close to the game’s level cap.
The enemy encounters will be more difficult and will provide quite a challenge for the players.
Normal mode will become challenging
Even in the DLC, normal mode will become a little challenging. The difficulty will increase slightly as players explore the new Forsaken Dominion and Lost Rites content.
The scaling is carefully balanced so that both new players and longtime fans can enjoy the new content.
60 FPS Performance Mode and Extra Save Slots
Capcom is also making some quality-of-life improvements. The new update will add additional save slots.
Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 players will receive further performance optimizations that will allow the game to run in 60 FPS in performance mode.
