God of War 20th Anniversary: What is Dark Odyssey Collection, new Kratos skin & more

Free Ragnarok update!
Santa Monica is doing their best to celebrate the God of War 20th Anniversary on March 22, 2025, as they are also providing fans with a free Ragnarok update. There are also exclusive cosmetics, game deals, and a slew of fan goodies.
From Kratos in a vintage outfit to a huge Jörmungandr plush, here’s all you need to know about the celebration and Dark Odyssey Collection.
Free Ragnarok update: Dark Odyssey collection
From March 20, 2025, players on PS5, PS4 and PC can get a free update for God of War Ragnarok which brings back the iconic Dark Odyssey Collection.
This black-and-gold cosmetic set, which first appeared in God of War 2 as a God Mode prize, clothes Kratos, Atreus, Freya, and their weapons in elegant design. You can get it via the Lost Items chest in the original game or automatically in the Valhalla DLC.

Also, a new edit appearance option will also let players tweak the weapon’s look.

20th Anniversary Extravaganza: Art, deals, and merch
Santa Monica has also teamed up with Gallery Nucleus in Los Angeles for a God of War art exhibition from March 15-23, 2025. You can expect the stunning artwork that showcases the 20 years of journey, from fans to developers and everything about the God of War.
Gamers can also get deals: God of War (2018) and Ragnarok are on sale on Steam and the Epic Games Store until March 20, and both are available through PS Plus.

Also, if you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber, then you can currently download and play God of War Ragnarok for free as the game was recently added in the Game Catalog for Extra and Deluxe subscribers.
